Halema'uma'u crater gurgling and glowing at night

Just a short 5-10 minute walk from KMC we walked the kids over to see the first time the flow and power of the volcano we had already observed from several other points all around the rim. Several kids cried and were scared in the forest and the dark, but all were held and cuddled and at the end said it was worth it after. The kids sang Oli Mahalo, in the dark, to Pele and Halema'uma'u and then most of the parents cried (Auntie Lynn kicked us off with a loud sniffle and she got some gentle nudges from Auntie Risa).  These silly iPhone photos don't do the view justice unfortunately.
